Biography

I was born, raised and educated in Komi republic, Russia. I constantly take part in exhibitions in Russia. In 2009 I used to work in the creative team of the experimental factory stoneware “Vorontsovo” in Moscow, and since 2010 took part in the nationwide Russian exhibitions in Moscow and other local as well as international projects. My works are in the collection of the National Gallery of Komi, Komi National Museum, Finno-Ugric Cultural Center of the Russian Federation. Images of my artworks are often used to support and illustrate the various cultural events in my homeland, for example, my plates (《伊兒卡普傳說》瓷盤) in the popular Taiwanese history blog (故事):

I am an active participant of exhibitions and projects of the northern Russia and North European countries. I have participated in two international biennials held in Komi republic in 2012-2013; “Relate North 2013” exhibition in Reykjavik, Iceland, where my artworks was on the exhibition catalogue cover. I was also a participant of the artist residency program at the “KulttuuriKauppila” center and “ART Ii Biennale” in Finland in 2014, where I completed an environmental artwork as a part of environmental art park in the place near Oulu called “Ii”, which displayed works from 25 international artists.

I have experience of teaching for almost 10 years at the Syktyvkar State University as a lecturer and a tutor of diploma works and graduation projects in ceramics, managing quite a few educational projects not only for university students, but also for children and adult advanced studies. One of the projects used to be held by local Komi office of All Russia Artists Union. I have been teaching kids and adults for 2 years there and published an article about my experience of working with the public and constructing mixed studio curriculum for any ages of students as the result of the project. As a skillful ceramist and a potter, I have been shown master classes in museums in Komi republic and in other places in Russia.

I am the founder of the ceramic production center based in the studio at the Syktyvkar State University. I use many handicraft techniques, from pottery wheeling to slip casting and a plaster molding. I have applied for a variety of inventor’s patents in ceramic technology.

Since 2012 I have obtained the qualification of Member of the Union of Artists of Russia and Member of the International Association of Art IAA AIAP UNESCO.

In 2015, I was granted with the honor of “National Outstanding Young Artist” by Russian government

Since 2019 I am a member of International Academy of Ceramics IAC
